Rooted in the idea of interdisciplinary studies and inspired by the formation of The New School’s six divisions, this project introduces a custom typeface as the foundation for a new visual identity. Designed as a dynamic identity system, the branding centers around the hexagon shape, a reference to the six schools, serving as a flexible yet unifying element across all touchpoints. This system reflects The New School’s commitment to crossing boundaries between disciplines, encompassing its broad range of programs in visual arts, design, social sciences, humanities, and performing arts.
