designed in 2019 spring

The contents of the bookmarks are from Charles Simic’s Object Poem. The two poems I chose were Fork, and Stone. I designed icons for each poem to provide a snapshot of what to expect. The bookmarks I design have three panels, so they look like mini books. The intention of my design is to provide a quick reading material when people are tired from reading their books. It is like “relaxing from reading but also read to relax.”

For each poem, the concepts are different. For the poem Stone, the author is describing how a stone might not be what you see from the outside. It is giving out the “same but different” concept. Lastly for Fork, the concept from my analysis is violent because it is describing the action of a fork stabbing on a piece of meat.
